A: The expense may not be something you want to afford, but the end result, a better portfolio of where your business is will actually save you money. After the initial set up it's a matter of maintenance which means less time.
Q: What is your rate? A: My rate depends on what type of services and how much bookkeeping you need on a monthly basis. Typically, if you were to contract with a CPA firm for bookkeeping needs the hourly rate would well exceed over $100 per hour. As an experienced bookkeeper, my rates are significantly less per hour, plus the more hours you contract per month, the lower rate.
Q: Do you come to my office or work from your own office? A: I'm flexible. The majority of the time I work onsite but also work from home for business owners who would prefer to keep bookkeeping out of their office.
Q: Do I need to buy QuickBooks if I contract you? A: It would be optional for your business to own a version of QuickBooks but I am also familiar with other accounting software such as Peachtree and Timberline. If I work from home I would create and keep a QuickBooks company file for you.
Q: How soon can I expect you to contract with my company? A: Usually within one week. My initial visit is a consultation to assess your bookkeeping needs and give you an estimate of time and cost. If you want to move forward than we sign a contract defining the scope of work and confirm a start date.
Q: Do you have a minimum contract time? A: Yes, I have a two hour minimum per visit. |

Q: I'd like to hire someone to help me with my books, but don't think I can afford it.
